What You'll Do:

Deliver pre-planned lessons or instruction as directed by school leadership

Create and maintain a positive, respectful and engaging classroom environment

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias and other shared spaces

Uphold school rules, procedures and safety standards

Communicate with school staff regarding student needs or concerns

Provide brief written feedback or reports about the day if requested
Daily Pay Rates:
-
$180/day – Base
-
$190/day – After 30 days of subbing
-
$200/day – After 60 days of subbing
-
$220/day – Long-Term Substitute (15+ consecutive days for the same teacher, with 75% attendance)
Note: This position is not eligible for paid leave or benefits, including during long-term assignments.
Who We're Looking For:

Minimum of 48 college credit hours from an accredited institution
-
Classroom management and student supervision skills
-
A genuine interest in supporting students and schools
Required Certification (You Must Hold One of the Following):

Local Substitute Certificate (~$65 fee; for those without a teaching degree)

State Substitute Certificate or Nebraska Teaching Certificate (for those with a teaching degree)

All candidates must pass a background check and meet Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) requirements.
A Human Relations course is required unless exempt (typically waived if you hold a teaching degree).
