Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front Desk Office / Accounting Clerk to manage front office responsibilities while supporting the accounting department. This dual-role position requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Essential Functions:
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Assist with internal event coordination
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Assist various departments with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
- Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and files
- Support the accounting team during audits and end-of-period closings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
