Stacie Johnson recognized with Sheaf of Wheat Award
For Immediate Release
(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – Columbus Community Hospital has proudly recognized Stacie Johnson, a physical therapist in Rehabilitative Services, with the Sheaf of Wheat Award. The award celebrates non-nursing employees who go above and beyond the call of duty for patients, families and the hospital community.
According to her nominator, Johnson demonstrates what it means to deliver extraordinary health care. She applies a depth of knowledge that extends beyond physical therapy, and her clinical expertise helps her treat complex cases with a comprehensive, patient-centered approach.
Johnson advocates tirelessly for patients, ensuring they feel supported, understood and empowered throughout their recovery. She educates patients clearly, and guides them through their conditions and treatment plans so they can take confident steps toward recovery.
“Stacie has earned my utmost respect for her commitment to providing exceptional care,” one of her colleagues shared. “Her profound knowledge, compassionate nature and unwavering advocacy make her not only an exemplary physical therapist, but also a truly deserving recipient of this award.”
In addition to Johnson’s recognition, CCH acknowledged the other Sheaf of Wheat Award nominees: Guadalupe Bedolla, Karla Ochoa, Heather Purinton, Jonathon Fernandez and Julie Wemhoff. These employees demonstrate outstanding service in their roles and represent the heart of the hospital’s mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care to every patient and visitor.
The Sheaf of Wheat Award quarterly honors outstanding non-nursing employees who demonstrate exceptional service. Each recipient receives a certificate, flowers and a plaque. Hospital staff then surprise the honoree with a departmental celebration, where peers, nominators and leaders gather to recognize the employee’s achievements.
The hospital encourages patients, visitors, families, doctors and staff to submit nominations for employees who have made a difference in their health care experience. By sharing stories of compassion, kindness or exceptional service, community members can shine a light on employees whose efforts often go above and beyond their daily responsibilities.
