The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the honorees for the 56th Annual Columbus Area Rural Recognition Banquet. This cherished event will take place at Ag Park on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Organized by the Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee, the banquet highlights the vital role of agriculture in our community and celebrates those who have made outstanding contributions to the industry.

2025 Honorees

• Outstanding Area Farmer: Kevin Kallweit of Humphrey
• Outstanding Woman in Agriculture: Joan Pfeifer of Lindsay
• Outstanding Senior Farmer: Greg Fiala of David City
• Outstanding Agribusiness Pioneer: Redstar, LLC in Leigh

These honorees have demonstrated remarkable dedication and innovation in advancing agriculture in the Columbus area. Additionally, the banquet will honor the Platte County 4-H Program and the Platte County Agricultural Society for their commitment to promoting agricultural excellence and nurturing future leaders.
