Are you someone who thrives outdoors, enjoys working with your hands, and takes pride in keeping roads safe and functional? We’re looking for a Motor Grader Operator to join our dedicated highway maintenance crew. In this role, you’ll operate a wide range of heavy equipment and perform essential tasks that keep our roads in top condition year-round.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate a variety of maintenance equipment including trucks, rollers, loaders, graders, snowplows, and more.
- Handle specialized machinery like chip spreaders, welders, and semi-truck trailers.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as patching roads, repairing signs, maintaining bridges and culverts, and installing snow fences.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
- Be ready to respond during inclement weather—your work keeps the community moving safely.
What You Bring:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Nebraska driver’s license.
- A Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions independently.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating and maintaining road maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
- Ability to work safely in hazardous environments and adapt to changing conditions.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
This role involves frequent physical activity—lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and operating tools and machinery. You’ll work outdoors in all seasons, often exposed to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
