General Summary |
Acts as first line supervisor of programs in Career and Technical Sciences on the Columbus campus, and the Kearney Center. Supervises faculty and staff assigned to these programs and/or courses. Manages the assigned programs in such a way as to facilitate the education of Central Community College students. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Recommends for hire, orients, trains, directs, and evaluates performance of assigned faculty and staff and, when necessary, recommends discipline or discharge. Assists Extended Learning Services and Training in evaluation and training of adjunct instructors for delivery of off-campus delivered courses.

Develops semester course schedules, determines faculty course and learning center assignments; analyzes faculty workload and determines workload modifications when necessary at the campus level.

Develops, recommends, and implements assigned cost center budgets; seek faculty and staff input on budget development, monitors revenues, expenditures and reallocations.

Participates in short- and long-range institutional planning, including identifying and developing potential new programs and services; planning and remodeling campus facilities, instructional equipment and supplies; developing marketing, promotion, recruiting, and retention strategies, etc. in cooperation with other college administrators.
