Job Title: Business & Special Projects Coordinator

Position Purpose
The Business & Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for the invoicing, deposits and purchasing of the Chamber, coordinates with the Chamber’s accounting firms for all other financial matters, assists in the execution of the Chamber’s various housing programs and activities, and actively engages with the Chamber’s membership to create value for the organization’s members. The Business & Special Projects Coordinator will also provide assistance to membership, program, and event staff as assigned.
Examples of Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Chamber’s deposits, purchasing, and receivables.
- Serve as staff liaison with the Chamber’s accounting partner for accounting, audit, bookkeeping, payables, payroll, reconciliation, and reporting related matters.
- Assist in the execution of the Chamber’s housing programs and activities.
- Assist in member engagement and outreach activities.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and/or Experience
- Possess strong written & verbal communication and planning skills.
- Possess strong administrative, time management, and organizational skills.
- Possess strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and other office software.
- Proficiency with AI (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online or other accounting software.
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of accounting experience is preferred.

- All staff will assist with Chamber membership activities, programs, and events as assigned.
- All staff will assist with member (customer) service by assisting walk-in visitors, phone calls, and front desk duties as needed.
- All staff will exhibit confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- All staff will develop a strong understanding of the Chamber’s operations and either possess or develop a complete knowledge of the Columbus area.
- All staff will complete additional duties as assigned.
