The 54th Annual Rural Recognition Banquet is just around the corner\, taking place at the American Legion on Tuesday\, March 21st\, 2023.\n\nOrganized by the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee\, the Rural Recognition Banquet is a community-driven event that seeks to recognize and honor the tireless efforts of our local ag producers and agribusiness professionals. Agriculture is Nebraska's number one industry\, and we are proud to celebrate it and the critical role it plays in our region.\n\nIn Platte County\, agriculture's influence extends beyond farming\, manufacturing\, and tourism. This year\, we are thrilled to recognize the tremendous contributions of several award recipients\, including the following:\n\n\n	Outstanding Area Farmers: Brenden and Lukas Fricke\n	Outstanding Woman in Agriculture: Crystal Klug\n	Outstanding Senior Farmer: Gary Wiese\n	Agribusiness Pioneer: BigIron\n	Friends of 4-H Awards\n	4-H Meritorious Service Awards\n	Ag Society Awards\n\n\nWe are delighted to offer complimentary tickets to area ag producers\, thanks to our very generous sponsors. Area farmers and ag producers can register for their comp tickets online or pick them up at the Columbus Area Chamber office.  General admission tickets can be purchased online for $25.00. Click here to purchase.\n\nWe invite businesses and individuals who are passionate about agriculture to become sponsors of this extraordinary event. All proceeds go towards scholarships for ag programs at CCC   Columbus Campus\, as well as providing meals for our honored guests\, their families\, and local farmers.
