The 57th Annual Rural Recognition Banquet is just around the corner\, taking place at Ag Park on Tuesday\, March 17\, 2026.\n\nOrganized by the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee\, the Rural Recognition Banquet is a community-driven event that seeks to recognize and honor the tireless efforts of our local ag producers and agribusiness professionals. Agriculture is Nebraska's number one industry\, and we are proud to celebrate it and the critical role it plays in our region.\n\nIn the Columbus area\, agriculture's influence extends beyond farming\, manufacturing\, and tourism. This year\, we are thrilled to recognize the tremendous contributions of several award recipients\, including the following:\n\n\n	Outstanding Woman in Agriculture: Kelly Feehan\n	Outstanding Senior Farmer: Randy Wendt\n	Outstanding Area Farmer: David Wilke\n	Agribusiness Pioneer: Bailey Ag Supply\n	Friends of 4-H: To be announced\n	4-H Meritorious Service Awards: To be announced\n	Ag Society Awards: Kurt Muhle\n\n\nWe are delighted to offer complimentary tickets to area farmers and ag producers\, thanks to our very generous sponsors.  Register to receive complimentary tickets for Area Farmers and Ag Producers or to purchase General Admission tickets for $25. Deadline to register on-line is March 10\, 2026.\n\nWe invite businesses and individuals who are passionate about agriculture to become sponsors of this extraordinary event. Proceeds support scholarships for ag programs at Central Community College   Columbus Campus\, as well as providing meals for our honored guests\, their families\, and local farmers.
